General Questions


Am I covered if I need different prescriptions or brands for each eye?

Yes, every box covers both eyes’ prescriptions, even if you have different prescriptions/brands for each eye. When this happens, we will adjust your monthly price to be the average of the 2 brands you need.

Are your products FDA-approved?

Yes, all products are FDA-approved.

What are acceptable forms of payment?

We accept debit cards & all major credit cards.

After signing up for the first box, when will it ship?

That will depend on a number of factors, such as how soon we receive a valid prescription, as well as lenses availability. Once your prescription has been verified, your box will generally ship within 7 business days, and subsequent boxes will arrive every 3 or 6 months after that.

Though most customers receive their first box within 1 week, some customers that require specialty lenses (such as XR or XR toric lenses) may have to wait longer, as those lenses are custom-made.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time, Optikal only ships to the continental US, Hawaii, and Alaska.

Can you "stack" promos on top of each other?

No, you can only use 1 promo code at a time.


Optikal Vision Plan (OVP) Questions


Why do you need my eye clinic info?

We need that info to call the clinic and confirm the pricing for your eye exam & contact lens fitting so your reloadable card can be loaded with the correct amount. This is also why it is very important to notify us immediately if you decide to visit a different clinic for your exam/fitting.

How long do I have to take my eye exam and upload the prescription?

Your card will arrive 3-5 business days. From the date it arrives, you have 2 weeks to get complete your exam and then email us your prescription.

Where/how can I send my prescription?

Email your prescription to [email protected]

What will I get in an OVP box?

You will get the following:

For monthly contact wearers

  • A 6-months supply of contacts
  • 2 contact solution bottles
  • 6 contact cases (to be replaced every month)
  • 10 Optikal hand wipes
  • 1 bonus item (ex. rewetting drops)

For bi-weekly contact wearers

  • A 3-months supply of contacts
  • 1 contact solution bottle
  • 3 contact cases (to be replaced every month)
  • 5 Optikal hand wipes
  • 1 bonus item (ex. rewetting drops)

For daily contact wearers

  • A 3-months supply of contacts
  • 5 Optikal hand wipes
  • 1 bonus item (ex. rewetting drops)

What happens if my prescription changes during the year?

You can email the new prescription and send back your unopened boxes of contacts to be exchanged for lenses with the updated prescription.

What is the return/refund policy for OVP boxes?

If your reloadable card has NOT been used and you request to cancel, your initial payment will be refunded.

If your reloadable card IS used and you request to cancel, you will be charged for the cost of your exam and any boxes you have received.

When/how can I cancel my service?

You can cancel at any time before the reloadable card is used. Once it is, all resulting charges are final and no returns will be accepted nor refunds issued.

What’s included in the box?

That depends on the type of lenses you require:

Monthly Contact Wearers

  • 6-month supply of contacts
  • 2 bottles of contact solution
  • 6 contact cases
  • 10 Optikal hand wipes
  • 1 bonus item

Bi-Weekly Contact Wearers

  • 3-month supply of contacts
  • 1 bottle of contact solution
  • 3 contact cases
  • 5 Optikal hand wipes
  • 1 bonus item

Daily Contact Wearers

  • 3-month supply of contacts
  • 5 Optikal hand wipes
  • 1 bonus item
Is it possible to change brands of lenses or solution?
Yes, you can change your brand of lenses or solution any at the time. Just email us at [email protected] with your first & last name, as well as your desired changes and/or a valid prescription for the new lens brand (if desiring a change of lenses), before the next box ships out.
Can I pause my account?

Of course. Simply send us an email titled "Account Pause" to [email protected] with your first & last name included in the email & we will pause your account for one month.

How does the subscription work?
First, you customize your box by choosing the desired brand of lenses and contact lens solution. Next, you enter your shipping & billing info. Finally, you must upload a picture of your prescription or manually enter the required info, which we will verify. Once verified, we ship you your box and each subsequent box will be shipped out every 3 months (bi-weekly & daily wearers) or 6 months (monthly wearers).
What is your refund/return policy for the Optikal subscription box?

Once the box is received and opened, all charges are final. However, if you send the box back unopened, we will refund the box. Also, if you did not request for a signature requirement on your shipments, you must pay up-front for another box to be sent out.

When/how can I cancel my subscription box service?

You can cancel your service at any time without penalty by emailing us at [email protected] with your first & last name and letting us know you want to cancel.

If you haven't paid off your box, you will be charged for the remaining balance owed on the box.
